Sheila was editor, designer, production coordinator and distributor of the Oakville Museum's newsletter The Sea Gull, later called The Erchless Muse for nine years. This twelve-page communications piece outlined all of the museum's activities, events, milestones, staff, volunteers, education programs, exhibits, promotions, items for sale, facility rentals, capital projects, restorations and interesting heritage-related happenings within the community. The newsletter was produced quarterly and mailed to museum members and donors. It was also distributed to libraries, information & tourism kiosks, other heritage sites, advertisers, municipal councillors, trade shows and museum visitors. It kept members and donors informed, helped attract new members and raised the museum's profile. |
