While at Oakville Museum, Sheila worked with the Oakville Chamber of Commerce as Tourism Committee Chair and came up with the idea of hosting an annual 'Business Meets Arts' reception on the museum's lakeside estate as part of the Chamber's Business After Hours.
These popular June receptions were enjoyable, elegant and offered business people a chance to get to know the art community - also an excellent way to let businesses know of cultural sponsorship opportunities and unique facility rentals. Sheila managed all aspects of this event for three years.
