Sheila Creighton sat on the Oakville Tourism Committee for eight years, chairing it for two. She also chaired the Oakville Day at the CNE Committee - a community showcase of music, recreation, arts and heritage.

Before that she was on the Visitors Guide Committee, three years as chair. This valuable guide was a new initiative Sheila helped develop. She was also active on the Economic Development Committee.

Sheila is committed to promoting culture as a vital part of tourism and a creative city. Cultural attractions and supporting industries - dining, shopping, recreation, accommodation - are key to uniqueness and well-being.
